Champneys Forest Mere

If only i could go back right now to Champneys Forest Mere!  I arrived at the spa resort with no real expectations only to find an oasis of calm with a sea of dressing gowns and slippers!  No need to worry about wearing make up here, time to let your skin breathe and take advantage of the facilities on offer including an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room, relaxation room and a gym if you feel like exerting yourself!  On top of this there are plenty of classes you can join throughout day from hula hooping to yoga and you can even book to have your palm read or go for a cycle ride around the grounds!  For me, i always look forward to the spa treatments and there are plenty to choose from!  Plus, all meals are included and the food is delicious. It's the perfect place to go with a group of girlfriends when you need some rest & relaxation, Champney's have four resorts to choose from and you can see the package offers on their website here.

Back from Amsterdam

Just returned home from a fun trip to Amsterdam (and Champneys Forest Mere for some R&R which i will tell you more about soon)!  It's so pretty with all the canals and cobbled streets and there is plenty to do.. in the day you can visit a selection of museums including Van Gough, Rijksmuseum and Anne FrankThis time we came across the House of Bols which is a Cocktail & Genever Experience and at the end of the tour you can have a cocktail made of your choice plus two shots of Bols!  When you have exhausted the museums, looked around the shops and perhaps hired a bike or peddle boat you can seek refuge in one of the many cafes and ask to see the other 'menu' if you want the whole Amsterdam experience ;-)   At night you can choose from an array of bars and restaurants and visit the famous red light district!
